Have you ever been so sure while setting goals or business plan? You were certain on the way to go and stubbornly forced your personal convictions only to later discover you missed a point?
Could it be that you limit or ignore God’s instructions and warnings?
Your church attendance may be a hundred percent but you can miss your blessings by failing to obey God’s simple instructions.
Some people misquote scriptures to suit their lifestyle.
You cannot go far on your own; You need someone to guide you along. God knows what you need. He will show you his will upon your life, only when you learn to listen, trust and live according to what His word says.
Psalm 32; 8-9 I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go;
I will give you counsel and watch over you.
Do not be like the horse or mule,
which have no understanding;
they must be controlled with bit and bridle
to make them come to you.
Your purpose is in the word of God.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He will make your paths straight.
Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and turn away from evil.
Joshua had to follow God’s instructions to the latter in order to conquer Canaan.
From now onwards, do not be afraid nor discouraged.
Be determined and confident.
Do not neglect any part of God’s teachings; meditate on the word day and night; make sure you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful; for the Lord your God is always with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:5-9 > No one will be able to defeat you.
Those who follow God’s instructions and warnings are spared from heartaches of running in circles like sand in the desert shifted by wind or toiling in vain.
Ask God to show you the way then use his word as your compass.
